Collect every Purity Seal to earn Purification Complete. You find Boltgun 2 purity seals inside levels, with their own collection counter separate from ordinary Secrets. In Dauntless, the detour starts beyond the yellow Psi door and takes you down to a covered walkway.
What does a Boltgun 2 purity seal do?
A Purity Seal contributes to the collection required for Purification Complete. Finding every ordinary Secret earns a different achievement, Pathfinder, so finishing one collection does not finish the other. For the wider achievement checklist, see the Boltgun 2 trophy guide.
One player reports no direct combat benefit from seals and recommends skipping their detours when you only want a fast clear. If you're hunting achievements, take the detour; if you're looking for something to help in a fight, check Boltgun 2 weapons.
How do you check your Boltgun 2 seal count?
Open the automap and read SEAL in the left sidebar, below SECRETS. Each has its own collected/total value.
You can also pause and read SEAL in the central statistics column. A filled Seal counter can sit beside an unfinished Secrets counter, so check both before moving on.
Don't rely on a map marker to find the pickup. One player found ordinary Secret markers on the automap but no corresponding seal marker during that run. Check the Seal counter when deciding whether you still need to search.
Where is the Purity Seal in Dauntless?
Dauntless's Purity Seal is beside an altar on the covered walkway below the yellow Psi door. Reach it by dropping onto the support structure outside the doorway.
- Unlock the yellow Psi door at the key console, then step through.
- Look over the edge on your right and line up the vertical support strut below you.
- Drop onto the strut, then jump to the covered walkway beneath the main route.
- Collect the glowing seal beside the altar. Look for YOU DISCOVERED A PURITY SEAL! when you pick it up.
Take a moment to line up the first drop. You're landing on an external support, and a rushed jump can send you past the strut. One player also found the ornate room distracting enough to overlook the pickup off to the side, so check the edges before continuing.
Dauntless has 5 Secrets and 1 Seal. For a complete collection in this level, your counters should read SECRETS 5/5 and SEAL 1/1. Once both are filled, you've finished Dauntless's collectible hunt and added its seal toward Purification Complete. Continue with Boltgun 2 levels to plan your next campaign stop.
