How Many Secrets Are in Each Boltgun 2 Level?

The counts below add up to the 174 Secrets and 33 Purity Seals the Pathfinder and Purification Complete trophies ask for. Press a time to play that level in the video, so you can skip straight to the level you are playing.

Levels sit on different campaign branches, so one playthrough will not reach all of them. Use Level Select after the campaign to go back for the ones you skipped; the Boltgun 2 levels page explains how the branches split.

Where Are the Secrets in Dauntless?

Dauntless has 5 Secrets and 1 Purity Seal, and each one opens up after a milestone in the level.

1. Secret 1 (Machine Spirit): After taking the red key, drop to the lower catwalk on the right and follow it into a small shrine alcove.
2. Secret 2: Use the red key at the console and jump the wide gap into the arena. Shoot the snowflake-and-cog icon high on the back metal wall to open a door, then cross the catwalk bridge.
3. Secret 3: Ride the first elevator up. In the courtyard, turn left past the red cargo containers into the tunnel ahead.
4. Secret 4: Ride the second elevator to the platform with the parked gunship and enter the metal tunnel on the right; the secret is against the rear wall.
5. Purity Seal: Go through the yellow door, look over the edge on your right, drop onto the narrow support strut and leap to the covered walkway below. The Seal sits beside an altar.
6. Secret 5 (Heavy Bolter magazine): In the Purge room, walk past the central machinery to the far left and step into the side alcove.

Where Are the Secrets in The Bastion?

The Bastion has 5 Secrets and 1 Purity Seal, all close to the colored keys.

1. Secret 1 (golden idol): At the red key platform, look over the cliff edge for a caged idol below. Drop down and shoot or strike it.
2. Secret 2 (golden armor skull): Through the red door, climb the large mossy root mound on the left to its top.
3. Secret 3 (Grenade Boost): At the purple key ledge, drop down beside the tangled roots into the hollow beneath them.
4. Secret 4 (munitions crate): In the clearing under the carved face, push through the tall grass at the base of the cliff.
5. Secret 5: On the cave path toward the yellow key, check the left rock wall for a narrow recess behind the roots.
6. Purity Seal: From the root ledge near the giant wooden structure below the yellow key, sprint and jump into the right-hand opening of the hollow trunk. If you miss, drop down from the yellow key spot later and walk in.

Where Are the Secrets in The Vile Root?

The Vile Root has 4 Secrets and 1 Purity Seal, and the Seal is a small shooting puzzle rather than a pickup.

1. Secret 1 (Machine Spirit): Before the purple door, turn right into the narrow crevice between the root-covered walls.
2. Secret 2 (Feel No Pain): After the narrow path across the big roots, drop down the lower root ledges into the misty, toxic hollow; the power-up is in an alcove ahead.
3. Secret 3 (Aura of Doom): In the courtyard near the red door, shoot the explosive servitor skull in the corner marked with a painted Aquila. The blast opens the cracked wall.
4. Secret 4 (Munitions Beacon): At the jump pad to the red key, step off the right-hand metal edge instead and drop to the ground under the platform.
5. Purity Seal: After taking the purple key above the bridge, turn around and shoot the rusted bells hanging overhead until one chimes. The Seal appears behind you on the path.

Where Are the Secrets in Dilapidated Prison?

Dilapidated Prison has 4 Secrets and 1 Purity Seal. Secret 2 is the easy one to miss, because it depends on a switch you have to shoot the moment you take the red key.

1. Secret 1 (Grenade Boost): In the first room, shoot the vent switch through the bars of the red-lit archway, press the green panel to open the gate, clear the three Heavy Stubber Cultists and jump across the crates.
2. Secret 2: Right after picking up the red key, shoot the floating red skull switch behind the barred grate. A side gate next to the red door is then open.
3. Purity Seal: In the purple key room, look down through the blue floor grates and kill both Autogun Cultists on the platforms below. A hidden door opens in the next hallway.
4. Secret 3 (Meltagun): In the hall in front of the purple door, climb the large green pipes along the wall and drop through the grating into the shaft.
5. Secret 4 (Machine Spirit): Behind the purple door, jump onto the green crates on the left, then the overhead pipe, and follow the upper walkway.
